Wrestling Radio Awards show celebrates the best in wrestling media every year!

The annual celebration of wrestling media, the 2016 Wrestling Radio Awards show took place on Sunday night, January 31st. The show was produced by, celebrating its 20th anniversary of promoting wrestling radio shows since 1996.

In addition to the presentations of 13 awards, the show featured 10 individual broadcasts from top wrestling radio shows and podcasts. A video stream of the show is now playing on a loop on

Here are some highlights from the event:

Sirius XM's Busted Open took home two awards, WRA Broadcast Show Of The Year & Male Interview Of The Year with Finn Balor. A clip was played of Finn Balor discussing his interest in participating in WrestleMania 32 but not being so anxious to leave NXT. Baylor implied that jumping to Raw or Smackdown might actually be a step down from NXT and he didn't really care about what is happening on either of those shows. Busted Open also hosted their own segment at the event which included the presentation of Wrestler Of The Year which went to Seth Rollins.

Solomonster Sounds Off podcast repeated as WRA Show Of The Year.

The Rack won an AudioWrestling Editor's Choice Award for their interview with Seth Rollins. The Rack also hosted their own segment at the event to present the award for Match Of The Year. The award went to Bayley & Sasha Banks for their match at NXT Takeover Brooklyn.

In Ring Pop won as WRA Best New Show and returned later to discuss sexism issues in wrestling. An award was later presented to Sasha Banks, ironically voted as the sexiest female in wrestling. A clip was played of Kurt Angle announcing that his TNA contract was expiring January 31.

Talk Is Jericho won two awards, "Best Booked" Show and Female Interview Of The Year with Becky Lynch.

Another Wrestling Podcast won two awards, Media Interview Of The Year with Jim Cornette and an Audio Wrestling Editor's Choice Award for their interview with Nora "Molly Holly." AWP also hosted their own segment at the event discussing potential card developments for WrestleMania 32.

The Pain Clinic won an AudioWrestling Editor's Choice Award for their interview with Jake "The Snake" Roberts. A clip was played of Jake "The Snake" discussing his final meeting with the Ultimate Warrior during the 2014 WWE Hall Of Fame festivities.
